"I live in Rennert with my two wonderful sons and my wonderful daughter-in-law.  I have two beautiful granddaughters that make sure that I do my job as a grandmother.  I am originally from Barker Ten Mile and graduated from Magnolia School.  I worked as a teacher assistant for 16 and 1/2 years and drove a bus for 4 years.  I also worked with the Learning Together Program for 4 years all at Magnolia.  I have now been given the opportunity to work with friend's children and grandchildren, how cool is that!?!?!  I retired with public schools as a Speech Assistant in 2005.  I feel very fortunate to be able to help serve my hometown and school.  I have worked with Speech Solutions for 8 years.  I never believed that at my age dreams still come true.  I love my job!"

"I have enjoyed working as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the last 25 years in the Brunswick County Schools and have recently retired from the NC Public School System with a total of 31 years of service.  I've worked with children from the ages of 2-19 years of age that have had a variety of communication disorders.  My heart and soul and specialty area is play-based evaluation/therapy and Early Intervention.  I continue to consider it a thrill to be just a small part of the miracle that occurs when children are empowered with the ability of communication.  I am blessed with my wonderful husband, Craig, who is a Band Director for Brunswick County Schools.  My family includes my parents, my sweet golden retriever, StellaLuna, and my kitty, Lilly.  My faith, family and friends are the most important treasures of my life.  I live in Sunset Beach and enjoy reading, going to the beach/pool, reading, music and more reading!  I'm excited to be joining the Speech Solutions, Inc. team as an SLP and will be working out of the Shallotte office.  I am a current NCSHLA and ASHA member and also, have my current license with NC State Department of Public Instruction."
